  • As brothers and sisters in Christ, each individual is important and we are called to love each other as part of God’s family of faith.

  • John 15:12 “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.”

  • God desires that his creatures gather together to joyfully worship him.

  • Psalm 147:1 “Praise the Lord! How good it is to sing praises to our God; for he is gracious, and a song of praise is fitting.”

  • Followers of Jesus are continually seeking to grow in their knowledge and under-standing of the Christian Faith.

  • Psalm 119:105 “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

  • God calls us to live as his servants in the world by sharing his light and healing through our words and actions.

  • Matthew 5:16 “Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.

Founding

A group of area residents gathered at the Seminole Elementary School for a worship service on January 19, 1964. They were interested in starting a new church that was friendly, relevant, and Christ-centered. This group grew and officially organized as the Lake Seminole Presbyterian Church on May 16, 1965. For over 40 years, this church has been an integral part of the community as it joyfully worships Jesus Christ and extends a helping hand to those in need.
