ABOUT US
A group
of area residents gathered at the Seminole Elementary School for a worship service on January 19, 1964. They were interested in starting a new church that was
friendly, relevant, and Christ-centered. This group grew and officially
organized as the Lake Seminole Presbyterian Church on May 16, 1965. For over 40 years, this church has been an integral
part of the community as it joyfully worships Jesus Christ and extends a
helping hand to those in need.
MISSION STATEMENT
To
glorify God and enjoy him forever. The mission of Lake Seminole Presbyterian
Church is to challenge people of all ages to know Jesus Christ as Lord and
Savior and to respond to him in faith. This mission will be lived out in the
following ways:
- Together we will worship
God with heart, mind, soul, and strength being mindful of the joy of our
salvation.
- We will tell others about
the love of God as revealed in Jesus as we speak and act, being
empowered by the Holy Spirit and guided by Holy Scripture.
- We will foster the personal
and spiritual growth of all persons.
As stewards of God’s
gifts, we will seek to meet the needs of our church, community, and world.
